Authorities in New Hampshire are responding to a Saturday morning shooting near a church where at least one person has been shot and the shooter is in custody, a spokesperson for the Pelham Police confirmed to The Daily Beast.
Police responded to the New England Pentecostal Church just after 10 a.m., where several fire trucks and ambulances remain in the parking lot. The church is no longer an active shooter situation, police said, and the suspected shooter is in custody.
The State Police Major Crime Unit told The Daily Beast they are also involved in the investigation, but did not provide any details. According to the church’s website, a “men and women meeting” for Domestic Abuse Month was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
